Simone García (b. Havana, 1993) is a multimedia artist, working with generative and 3D art.
Simone García (b. Havana, 1993) is a multimedia artist, working with generative and 3D art. Her work deals with the topics of the self-perception and the intersection of technology, nature and art. In her latest project cymoonv she explores the performance of virtual identities and gender fluid representations of post-human bodies. Her interdisciplinary approach comes from her background as a musician. She received her BA specializing in Music (2016) from the University for Arts (ISA) in Havana, Cuba. After perfecting her skills at the Conservatory of Nice, she is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. In 2020 she received grants from the research program of IDEX UCA-CREATES and the Sacem (Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Éditeurs de Musique) towards the production of the collaborative project “Le tour du Monde en Réalité Mixte”, premiered at the colloque DANTEMUS (Dialogue des Arts, Nouvelles Technologies, Musique, Scène), and programmed by the CIRM (Centre National de Création Musicale) - MANCA Festival (Musiques Actuelles Nice Côte d'Azur). She currently lives and works in Valencia, Spain.
